Joint Seminar with GIZ

The Institute of Economics held a joint Master seminar about “Finance in Developing Countries” together with the section Financial Systems Development and Insurance of the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit” (German Corporation for International Cooperation – GIZ) in Eschborn on 2nd and 3rd June 2016. The seminar was part of the Master module “Development Economics II”. Main topics of the seminar were microfinance and monetary economics in developing countries. After presentations by the MA DEIS students members of staff of the GIZ gave comments from a practical perspective. Among others, Saliya Kanathigoda, Roland Gross and Christoph Schroer participated as representatives of the GIZ. Prof. Kähler, Prof. Prediger, Stefan Wagner and Christoph Weber took part in this seminar as members of the Institute.
