Job Offer: Student Assistant at the Chair of Development Economics – Closed for Applications

The Chair of Development Economics is looking for a student assistant for an initial period of six
months (extension possibility desirable), starting as soon as possible. The position is mainly
supposed to support an upcoming large-scale research project on outpatient services within the
“Social Health Protection Initiative” in Pakistan in administrative and project management matters.
Possible tasks

  • Administrative and project management support
  • Internet, literature and data research
  • Data cleaning and analysis
  • General support tasks
  • Requirements

  • Enrolled as a Master or advanced Bachelor student in Economics or related field (for
    Bachelor: 3rd semester or higher)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work independently, commitment, team spirit and flexibility
  • Previous experiences in project management are desirable
  • Familiarity with topics in development economics, risk/insurance, or health are desirable
  • Knowledge of statistical software (STATA is a plus) and/or IT skills
  • Very good or good academic achievements
  • Basics in statistics and/or econometrics
  • Working hours

  • ~ 20 – 32 hours/month
  • Hourly pay according to standard wage
