Joint Seminar with GIZ

The Institute of Economics held a joint Master seminar about “Development Finance” together with the section Financial Systems Development and Insurance of the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit” (German Corporation for International Cooperation – GIZ) in Eschborn on 21st and 22nd June 2018. The seminar was part of the Master module “Research Methods II”.

Topics of the seminar were financial inclusion, financial literacy as well as finance for renewable energy and climate finance in developing countries. After the presentations by the MA DEIS students, members of staff of the GIZ contributed with comments from a practical perspective. Among others, Saliya Kanathigoda, Daniela Bohl, Joscha Albert, and Christoph Schroer participated as representatives of the GIZ. Prof. Jürgen Kähler, Dr. Elisabeth Meyer, Stefan Wagner and Dr. Christoph Weber took part for the Institute.
