Information for incoming students

The Friedrich-Alexander-University and the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology offer a wide range of assistance for incoming students, to support you during the start of your studies and later on.

Orientation events for international students

The Central Office for International Affairs offers repeatedly a two-hour orientation event for incoming students. There, you will learn which forms and documents you need if you want to go to the different administrations. You do not need to register for the events. However, it would be helpful for the organization if you e-mail to Peter Forna ( in advance.

Dates of the event: below “Orientation events offered by the Central Office for International affairs”.

Support by the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology

The Faculty also offers orientation courses for incoming students. Here, you particularly get information how the programs for Bachelor, teaching degree and Master are organized. In addition, there is a “buddy program”, where students from higher semesters support you, as well as multiple events for international students.
